An ode to one of our two AMAZING volunteer coordinators at The Eco Market, who've both been extremely generous with their time in helping make The Eco Market a reality. This blog post is to showcase Jen Lyon, who, if you came out to our show this past April, was also our fabulous MC for the full day in the theatre. Stay tuned for another post about our other equally awesome head honcho volunteer Alison Purdy! We LOVE these two girls!

Who is Jen Lyon?

Jen is a KW local photographer who's passionately dedicated her career to fundraising and supporting Epilepsy South Central Ontario as their COO. As a photographer, she's amazingly creative, enthusiastic and so supportive to work with. She spends a lot of her time volunteering in the community. Aside from volunteering for us, she also has contributed her writing and photography to the Community Edition, a Kitchener local community focused newspaper.  From our own experience, she's so full of positive energy, so hard working and so darn good at what she does! Check out some of her work below!

Jen has been such a fantastic addition to our team and we're so grateful for all of her continued hard work and dedication. We're really excited to promote some of her new projects, that if you're interested in what we do at The Eco Market, we know you'll be a fan of too!

The Diamond Project

The Diamond Project inspires women to form friendships and provide mutual support to one another so, they can all shine brighter together!

Whether it be friendships, business connections, art projects...it can be anything.

We are capable of making great things happen, let's do it better together!

The Diamond Project was created by Jen this year, with a focus on uplifting women in our community. Jen helps support them, PS Jen Novakovich from The Eco Market is one of them, by giving them great photo shots and branding advice to enhance whatever they're doing. Instead of competing with each other, her vision is to flip the script around. Instead of jealousy when meeting accomplished women, befriend, support, and collaborate.

This is how you can join the Diamond Project: Seek out. Befriend. Uplift. Just like that! Good things will happen, trust us :). Join in the Diamond Project and share your stories with Jen by tagging her on Instagram and Facebook @thejennydoesstuff

Are you feeling like you could use a free photo shoot to help you shine bright like a diamond? Do you live in Waterloo Region?  Apply to the Diamond Project to shine together with Jen. She accepts a limited number of applications per year. Inspire her with your visions of greatness... the pass it on <3.
